My 2025 Black Friday Deals List for Wire Jewelry Tools and Accessories

My 2025 Black Friday Deals List for Wire Jewelry Tools and Accessories

Ah, 'tis the season for savings, am I right?

As you may know, Black Friday is one of the best times to upgrade tools, invest in organization and stock up on handy items. This is definitely the time where I am looking for deals on things I've been wishing for throughout the year. From new, nicer pliers and tools to helpful organizational items and even stocking up on jewelry boxes.

In this case, I've created a list of goodies that I think might help you out this season and into the next year.

Before I jump right into the list, I wanted to let you know that I'll be having a Black Friday Sales event where you're going to be able to get amazing discounts on tutorials, guides and the course, get free shipping on kits and jewelry piece AND enter for a chance to win a 1-year membership to the Artisan Tutorial Vault

If you don't want to miss out and have a chance to enter the giveaway, then you'll want to sign up for my Learn to Weave Newsletter, if you haven't already.

I hope that this event blesses you and helps you to continue growing your wire skills and learn new techniques that will make your jewelry pieces pop!

The event will be going on Nov. 27th - Dec. 1st, so be sure to mark your calendars!

Now, are we ready to get started?

First... Stones, beads and facets!

Of course, I can't start this article off without mentioning Casdans! They have the best stones around as well as amazing customer service. There's a reason I exclusively use their stones and recommend them to anyone looking to build up their collection.

And with the holidays in full gear, it's a good idea to check back to see if there are any sales going on.

Need to upgrade your tools?

Beadsmith Plier Set: When I was first starting out, this was by far my favorite tool purchase! The pliers are on the smaller side, but the teeth were very smooth, they're strong and they even come with a carrying case to keep them organized and undamaged. I recommend this in almost all of my videos because how amazing they are in quality while still not breaking the bank.

Swanstrom Plier Set: These are the current tools that I use and are definitely on the more spendy side. You can buy these individual pliers on Amazon, but I got the entire set from Rio Grande when they had a sale going. They include a carrying case as well!

If you're looking to do some cold-forging and/or take some aggressions out, here's what I recommend!

Convex Chasing Hammer: Convex just means that the head of the hammer domes out a bit. I like this, especially for beginners, because it's a tad more forgiving, unlike the flat surface from a typical chasing hammer, which sometimes leaves dents in your wire.

Steel Bench Block: You'll definitely need one of these if you're looking to hammer anything. You need a hard surface to hammer against in order to flatten and texture metal. If you're looking just to harden wire, then I would use a rubber mallet instead of a chasing hammer.

And when you're ready to start creating round pieces like rings and cuff bracelets, these are the tools I recommend:

Ring Mandrel: I like this one best because it is completely round and can take some hammering if you're looking to add texture and strength to your rings.

Steel Bracelet Mandrel: Great for taking a lot of hammering. (Beware of rust! Keep it in a cool, dry area, otherwise be sure to cover it or oil it from time to time). This is similar to the mandrel that I used for the "Odessa" Cuff Bracelet Tutorial.

Wood Bracelet Mandrel: Great for shaping. Can use a rubber mallet with this.

Rubber Mallet: This is the tool that I use when I'm just wanting to harden my wire without adding texture or flattening it.

Handy tools that I use all the time, but aren't necessarily needed when starting out:

Silicone Fingertip Protectors: These little guys have saved my fingers time and time again! I used to get blisters when weaving just because of how I hold my wire, but when I wear these babies, I don't get those painful things anymore!

Spring Clamps: I usually recommend getting one from the hardware store, since most online clamps are sold in packs. The spring clamp that I use is a 6" version with rubber tips that do a great job holding multiple wires without damaging them. (The link is for a 6-pack version of what I currently use).

Rings Clamps: If you have weaker hands, then a ring clamp might be a better solution. There are two different styles: One involves a screw to hold them together or there's the other version which uses a wedge, (which is most common). Both work pretty well for holding all those wires!

Bobbins: These have become a wire weaving necessity for me! Especially if you're buying weaving wire in bulk, like I do. All you do is load the thin wire onto the bobbin and you're good to go! These little guys help to keep the wire from kinking and you can pull out as much as you need as you go.

What about storage?

Jewelry box with drawers: I recently purchased a jewelry box with a velvet lining to hold my stones and cabochons. These are especially great if you have softer or breakable gemstones. So far, I probably have around 100 stones in mine with some more space to spare!

Photo holders with case: I use these for all kinds of things from beads and cabochons to wire and finished pieces. Plus, they come with a carrying case making it easy to transport if needed.

Large Drawer Storage: I love my storage drawers! I use them for everything from jewelry components, earring backings, finding, beads and small bobbins filled with wire. Whatever your need, you can use these drawers! Plus, some can be mounted on the wall for free up desk space.

Little bead Containers: Got small cabochons, facets or those itty-bitty gemstones beads? Then you'll want to look into checking these out! You can put your beads into whatever little storage container you like and carry them all in the larger case! So handy!!

Tool Holder: Sometimes your jewelry pliers just need a home. They're especially great if you don't have a carrying case!

Plastic Bags: I love using these to store finished pieces and beads!

Here's how I store my wire:

Ribbon Holder: If you have a bunch of wire on spools, then I highly recommend getting a ribbon holder! You might have to change out the dowels for something sturdier if you have 1lb spools, but mine does a great job in keeping them all organized and easily accessible.

I'm sure that there are more items that you can think of, but these organizers, tools and accessories have made my jewelry making so much easier and I couldn't recommend them more!

And, don't forget to check back Nov. 27th - Dec. 1st for my Black Friday Sales event! There's going to be some amazing deals on tutorials, guides and the course as well as a giveaway, so be sure to mark your calendars!!

Until next time,
Happy weaving!
